Ms. Marjorie Spinner is currently the Assistant Director of Bands at Streetsboro City Schools. There, she directs the Streetsboro Middle School Bands, teaches general music to both middle school and high school, and assists the Streetsboro Marching Rockets. Marjorie is an involved member of OMEA and takes students to solo and ensemble contests and honor band, attends the annual OMEA conferences, and is very involved in District 6 events.
Before, Marjorie was a long-term substitute teacher at Rocky River schools. She conducted the high school concert band, middle school ensembles, and the middle school jazz band. Marjorie took students to local contests, honor bands, and solo and ensemble. In addition, she took her students on field trips and held fundraisers to raise money for the music program. She also student taught at Revere City Schools in grades 5-12.
Ms. Marjorie Spinner graduated from The University of Akron with a major in instrumental music education and a minor in Composition, summa cum laude.
Outside of education, Marjorie plays for the Cleveland Women's Orchestra, takes cello lessons, is a yearly participant in the GOBA Bicycling Adventure, is a high school assistant flag football coach at Streetsboro, and is an involved alumna of Cuyahoga Falls High School.
