Ms. Marjorie Spinner is a 2020 summa cum laude graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. In 2024, she graduated from The University of Akron with a major in instrumental music education and a minor in Composition, also summa cum laude. There, she was involved with the trumpet studio and participated in the National Trumpet Competition through the UA Trumpet Ensemble. She was an involved member of the Symphony Band, Ohio's Pride Marching Band, and The University of Akron Jazz Ensemble.
Marjorie student taught general music at Ralph E. Waite Elementary school (spring 2023) and Sam Salem Community Learning Center (spring 2024). She also student taught middle school and high school band at Revere Local School District in the fall of 2024.
In 2025, Marjorie was a long-term substitute teacher at Rocky River schools. She conducted the high school concert band, middle school ensembles, and the middle school jazz band. Marjorie took students to local contests, honor bands, and solo and ensemble. In addition, she took her students on field trips and held fundraisers to raise money for the music program.
Outside of education, Marjorie plays for the Cleveland Women's Orchestra and local churches, takes cello lessons, is a yearly participant in GOBA Bicycling Adventure, and is an involved alumna of Cuyahoga Falls High School.
